Kelsey’s + Matt’s wedding day was so dreamy. It was autumn in Massachusetts, something I never fully appreciated until moving to California. Now, I jump at the chance to photograph weddings in New England during the fall. It just can’t be beat. The lush green foliage, which had just begun to change colors, and crisp air made for a super romantic vibe. Kelsey and Matt had white pumpkins for decoration, lobster for dinner, and cider donuts as favors (an insanely delicious local specialty), which all added to the fall atmosphere. But even more importantly, they managed to spend the day present and unhurried. I won’t soon forget when the coordinator asked Kelsey if they would like a ride back to the tent after we had gone on a walk for photos and she replied that she preferred to walk so they could just enjoy the moment and soak it in. They are a sweet couple, and so in love. Today, I’m wishing them a hundred more autumns together.
