Artistically, shooting A+K’s wedding was so much fun. While my own style leans towards natural light, whites, and the outdoors, it was such an exciting challenge to capture the true essence of this couple and their day. That’s what the whole point of wedding photography is, after all! A+K’s wedding day took place indoors inside the exclusive high rise private society in downtown San Diego known as the University Club. Literally, it took me three sets of elevators with passcodes to get up there! So speakeasy-esque, so cool. This couple’s style was moody romance with dark red florals and lots of black. A lot of the photography took place with harsh lighting coming in through the large floor to ceiling windows or after the sun set requiring flash, which I played with to show off the dramatic side of this chic couple.  I was obsessed with the black caped bridesmaid dresses and the old school front veil the bride wore.
