There’s so much to love about this story. R+M flew from their home of Köln, Germany and eloped on a cliffside of Big Sur, without even telling their friends and family! The whole ceremony was in English except the vows they had written for each other. Honestly, that was my favorite part because they said them so intimately, knowing that it was just the two of them up there, and the officiant and I couldn’t understand. It was also the sexiest, longest first kiss I have ever witnessed. Haha. So notch that up as another plus of eloping…you don’t have to kiss like Grandma is watching. They also honeymooned at Burning Man, which tells you the type of free-spirited fun-love couple they are. She wore a jean jacket which I loveddd and they rented a Mustang (which is the California road trip thing to do for Europeans and actually ended up making some super fun photos). This foggy, cloudy weather up here fits perfectly with the bohemian, moody pics that Big Sur couples want! Flowers by the talented Jericho Rose Floral.

Finally, here’s the review they left me on Yelp. We came from Germany to Big Sur to elope. We found Kristen online and we couldn’t have wished for a better photographer.  First of all – the pictures: For us, the wedding shots are more than perfect and we are still absolutely blown away and in love 🙂 We are so happy she captured this important moment of our life in such a beautiful way!Beyond that, Kristen is the perfect professional: Before the big day we felt in very good hands because communication with her was so easy  and for every question she went out of her way to give us a lot of good recommendations and advice.  During the ceremony and shooting afterwards, she knew exactly what she was doing, very subtly guiding us towards perfect shots without any intrusion of the ceremony  or creating an unnatural feel to the situation. After the ceremony, she straight away made a whole gallery of the best shots available to us so we could share them with our family and friends back home.
